CONSTRUCTION & MILLWRIGHT SERVICES
The position of Construction & Millwright Services involves an array of duties, to include services associated with the following categories; millwright, pipefitter, underground pipe installation, and concrete work. Welding and excavation experience is a plus. This person must be mechanically inclined and be able to travel for out-of-town work. Experience is preferred but not required, as we can provide training services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Operate basic hand tools and powered hand tools; i.e., drills, grinders, etc.
-
Operate equipment as described in company procedures; i.e., metal cutting saws, torches, drills, material handling equipment, grinders, etc.
-
Operate heavy equipment (loader, excavator, dozer) where qualified.
-
Install underground piping and associated accessories.
-
Installation of water and wastewater treatment equipment.
-
Installation of process piping, pumps, and valves.
-
Concrete construction work (form and place), including slabs and sidewalks
-
Perform work safely and follow established work procedures.
-
Perform housekeeping duties.
-
Equipment maintenance and care, and report equipment that requires servicing or repair
-
Perform miscellaneous general tasks as assigned by Supervisor
-
Support the Quality Control and Safety programs
Minimum Job Requirements:
-
Steel toed boots
-
Suitable attire for a shop environment and warm clothes for the winter
-
Basic hand tools; list can be provided
-
Availability to work shift work and/or overtime
-
Must be punctual and possess a strong work ethic
-
Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
-
Ability to interpret shop drawings and blueprints
-
Possess or willingness to obtain Chauffeur and CDL licenses
-
Basic reading and writing skills
-
Knowledge and respect of safety and work environment
-
Able to perform physically demanding work

Ability to communicate orally
-
Ability to work in cold environments.

WELDER-SHOP/FIELD FABRICATION & DELIVERY
This person performs duties in the steel fabrication ship related to all elements of steel fabrication and welding. Duties primarily involve welding processes but also include operating basic hand tools, component assembly, operating metal fabrication equipment including saws, drills, grinders that are associated with steel fabrication.

Perform welding operations using several welding processes

Operate basic hand tools and powered hand tools; i.e., drills, grinders, etc.

Operate equipment as described in company procedures; i.e., metal cutting saws, torches, drills, material handling equipment, grinders, etc.

To not abuse equipment and report equipment that requires servicing or repair
