Featured Project: Clemens Food Group - Wastewater Pre-Treatment Plant
Clemens Food Group Wastewater Pretreatment Faclity

Wastewater pre-treatment facility designed to process 1.5 MGD process water with 30% of the water returning to the main processing plant for reuse.

A complex project with these simple facts:

The plant has a water storage capacity of 4,439,000 gallons, which includes 3,600 lf of underground piping.

The pre-engineered metal building is 13,000 sf, incorporating 2” insulated metal walls and roof panels. It includes a 30x50’ waste container room, 30x35’ concrete equipment platform, 50x17’ blower room, 22x12’ office/lab and a 38x12’ control room.

There is 3,250,000 cf of air exchanged every hour, and 18,000 lf of process wiring.

There were 3,500 cy of concrete poured, and 276 tons of rebar utilized throughout the project. This includes two 132x23’ aeration tanks, a 66x20’ influent buffer tank, a 33x20’ re-use water tank with concrete lid and a 24x17x17’ underground contact tank within the building, all completed with one continuous pour per tank.

The equipment  package was shipped from REDOX Water Technologies in the Netherlands on three cargo ships, which included 25 containers delivered to the jobsite in Coldwater, Michigan.

L.D. Docsa self-performed 80% of the project from engineering and design assistance to site installation and successful biological startup for a turnkey project.
